HDD spins up, then down, then up again constantly.

Possible Diagnosis:

Faulty head ampifier

Solution:
We will replace the bad components on the current PCB (printed circuit board) or replace the whole PCB. Then transfer the original factory ROM BIOS chip from the old PCB and plug it in or solder it onto the new replacement PCB. Your drive cannot run without the Original Factory-ROM BIOS chip from the OLD BOARD!!! Every ROM BIOS chip is configured to compensate for that particular drive's read/write heads microscopic mis-alignments, which every drive has. The HDD and the ROM BIOS chip are ONE.

DO NOT toss the Factory-ROM BIOS chip that sits on the OLD BOARD, or your drive will not run!

DO NOT LOOSE THIS CHIP!!!
