In data recovery, the data on the disk and the ROM chip are the only things we are concerned with, the hardware can be replaced.
We will remove the head & platter assembly from the damaged drive/motor housing and transplant them it into another drive/motor housing assembly.
We will replace the PCB controller chip if necessary. If this is done, We will have to remove hard drive ROM chip from the original PCB and solder it to the replacement PCB in order for the drive to work.
DO NOT TOSS THE OLD PCB BOARD! Your drive won't work without you spending $1,000s to a large data recovery firm to have a new ROM calibrated to match your drive. We cannot do this!
Parts Replacement:
If the parts replacement is successful and there are no other issues, we will begin the data recovery procedure. The data recovery procedure willl take 1 to 4 days depending the amount of data to recover and how much damage occured. Severly damaged data can take up to a week to recover.
