HDD Motor Burn-out

Diagnosis: Burned out motor.
Possible causes: Defective part, electrical or physical damage, more than 7 years of age.

Solution:
A burnt-out motor can easily be replaced. A used motor will be sufficient enough to recover the data from the disk. Our primary goal is to reover the data.
The motor is built into the housing, when you replace the housing, you also replace the motor.
We will remove your head & platter assembly from the damaged motor/housing and transplant it into a working motor/housing.

If the transplant is successful and there are no other issues, we will begin the data recovery procedure which will take 1 to 4 days depending the amount of data to recover and how much damage occured. Severly damaged data can take up to a week to recover.
Here is the fix along with data recovery labor cost:

$300 + parts ($25 – $125)
